# RecallLens

> Free remote MCP server (connector) for US product-safety recall lookups from public government data: NHTSA vehicle recalls (by make/model/year, by VIN, or by campaign number), FDA food, drug and medical-device enforcement reports (openFDA), and CPSC consumer product recalls. ## Tools (all read-only)
- vehicle_recalls(make, model, model_year, limit?, detail?): NHTSA recall campaigns for a vehicle; suggests NHTSA model names when the name does not match.
- vin_recalls(vin, limit?, detail?): validates a 17-character VIN, decodes it with NHTSA vPIC (first 11 characters only, 14 for low-volume manufacturers; never the serial number), lists recall campaigns for that make/model/year. Does not show VIN-specific repair status.
- vehicle_recall_campaign(campaign_number, limit?, detail?): one NHTSA campaign (V, E, T or C) with the vehicles it covers.
- food_drug_device_recalls(query?, product_type?, classification?, status?, date_from?, date_to?, limit?, offset?, detail?): FDA enforcement reports via openFDA.
- consumer_product_recalls(query?, date_from?, date_to?, limit?, offset?, detail?): CPSC recalls; keyword index of 10082 recalls plus a live check for newer ones.
